Aaron Sigmond has a long resume of writing about luxury watches and, well, anything mechanical over the past 20-plus years. He spent three years as the Editor-in-Chief of Mechanics of Style by Girard-Perregaux and was the co-author of “New Face of Tradition: The Young Watch Masters Girard-Perregaux.”
Now Sigmond has added to his list of accolades with his upcoming book “DRIVE TIME: Watches Inspired by Automobiles, Motorcycles and Racing,” which is an anthology of nearly a decade of work on special pieces and reviews on car-, motorcycle-, and various other motorsport-inspired watches and collectors of such pieces.
Not only does the reader get the Sigmond’s knowledge, but some of the sections and chapters have been written by outside contributors. Adding to the star power of DRIVE TIME is the foreword written by former Tonight Show host Jay Leno, who is known as an avid car, motorcycle, and historical machine collector. He also collects watches with over 100 pieces to his name.
DRIVE TIME boasts more than 90 reviews of auto-inspired watches from the mid-20th century to the current examples on the market today, such as the Breitling by Bentley, Hublot Ferrari, and other fine timepieces created with and for automotive enthusiasts.
