After a year of hard work and some outside help, SpeedX is ready to introduce a new way to build the internal structure of a bicycle frame and to re-think internal cable routing. This new approach is shown off in its newest model, the Leopard. The system helps improve drag resistance and cable life and gives a bike a cleaner design.

The Leopard also features a high-resolution 2.4-inch Smart Control color screen on the handlebar, which gives the rider a GPS route, speed, distance, pedal cadence, weather, altitude, calories, and delivers a report with professional analysis.

The Smart Control screen is able to record data for up to 40 hours and recharges in just 30 minutes. The device utilizes an app to easily track, share, and save all of this ride information.

Weighing in at just over 18.5 pounds, the Leopard’s internal-wire design is heightened by dark accents to improve the overall aesthetics. The frame also features reinforced critical stress points to help improve the bike’s stiffness.

With the help of 1,251 backers on Kickstarter, the bike project has raised over $2.3 million.
