Iconic Hollywood star George Clooney and entertainment businessman Rande Gerber have sold their Cabo compound to a Mexican billionaire for $100 million.
The pair built two homes on the plot they call “Casamigos,” which also happens to be the name of their popular tequila. Esteemed architect Ricardo Legorreta designed the adjacent homes, and sadly they were the last homes he designed before passing.
The business partners/friends and their wives—Gerber is married to Cindy Crawford and Clooney to attorney Amal—won’t be homeless for long though, as they’re building a bigger, better, and grander compound nearby.
Hollywood’s longtime pals not only shared a compound, but also created their own tequila brand. Clooney says he was ‘forced’ to get into the tequila business after ordering nearly 1,000 bottles a year.
