The past several months have been pretty great for Oakland Athletics relief pitcher Ryan Madson. Not only did he have a successful spring training, but he also just scooped up a beautiful property in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Madson purchased the home for $2.2 million, and it’s just 20 minutes away from Hohokam Stadium where the A’s train. The 35-year-old right-hander just signed a $22 million deal with the A’s this past December, so it’s not surprising that the player purchased a new home.
His new French Country-style home seems worth the investment with a beautiful stone fireplace, high ceilings, five bedrooms, and five baths. Built in 2013, the 6,800-square-foot house also features a chef’s kitchen complete with a walk-in pantry, a butler’s pantry, and high-end appliances.
Additional features include a sprawling master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a fireplace and plenty of outdoor entertaining space with a pool, a built-in barbecue pit, and a casita.
Madson may have missed three seasons due to his Tommy John surgery, but it appears he’s bounced back after his impressive performance last season.
