In recent years, there have been several advances in home coffee makers. Now, Nespresso’s new Prodigio coffee maker allows owners to use Bluetooth connectivity and their smartphone or tablet to control when they brew a drink.
Through the Nespresso app, users can control how strong they want their coffee, with ristretto, lungo, and regular espresso options, on top of doing things like scheduling brews or brewing immediately, as long as there is a Nespresso pod in the machine.
Once brewed, the used capsules are discarded into a built-in canister, and the app lets owners know when it is time to restock by keeping track of usage.
The new Prodigio is available for $249, and the new Nespresso app is available for iPhone 4S and newer models, iPad 3rd Generation and newer, and select Android devices.
