In a unfortunate series of events, comedian Garry Shandling passed away just a day after listing his Brentwood, California, home for $13.5 million.

911 was called from said house, and Shandling was taken to the hospital where he later passed. He had never married and lived alone.

It is not known whether the just-over-an-acre estate will remain for sale or will be taken off the market. The over 6,100-square-foot, Spanish-style home is centered behind high walls and secured gates at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Mandeville Canyon area of Los Angeles’ Westside.

The parcel features both city and ocean views with the home holding four bedrooms and eight bathrooms, including a master level that consumes the second story of the house. The listing also has a boulder-ringed swimming pool and a half-basketball-court that held “Shandling’s Sunday” basketball games with guests like Kevin Nealon, David Duchovny, and Sarah Silverman.
