COBBLE—formerly known as Pebble on Kickstarter before the maker of the Pebble smartwatch asked the company to change the device’s name—may seem like, well, a pebble, but the small audio device packs a lot of punch.
The pocket-sized COBBLE serves as a micro audio amplifier that takes the normal quality of sound from an iPad, iPhone, or iPod and morphs it into Hi-Res Audio. The Cobble has the ability to turn the 48 kHz output from a device and doubles it to 98 kHz.
The new device from TEICNEO also allows users to keep their old, or new, headphones and still use streaming services from their Apple devices that don’t come equipped with a normal AUX outlet.
COBBLE has reached its goal on Kickstarter, but there are still opportunities to get the micro audio amplifier for close to half of the anticipated retail price.
