Many tech users haven’t been happy with the constantly increasing screen size of their phones and tablets. After years of offering smaller, more portable options, Apple also began to trend more toward oversized handsets.
However, customers looking for a smaller product can now rejoice since Apple has just unveiled two of its newest products, both of which are smaller than their recent predecessors. At its Keynote Event earlier this month, the tech brand unveiled the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
The iPhone SE sports many of the same advanced features as the larger models—longer battery life, faster wireless, a 12-megapixel iSight camera—but with a smaller four-inch display complete with matte-chamfered edges, a matching stainless steel Apple logo, and four metallic finishes.
Apple’s smaller iPad Pro weighs in at under one pound and sports features like night shift mode, true tone display technology, a four-speaker audio system, a 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera, and a wider color gamut, just to name a few.
The iPhone SE starts at $399 and the 9.7-inch iPad at $599.
Given the lack of reasonably sized phones in the Android camp, we suspect the iPhone SE may cause those who aren’t interested in carrying a small television to defect to Apple.
