Amid ongoing financial troubles, David Milch, creator of popular television shows “Deadwood” and “NYPD Blue,” has cut the asking price of his Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, home by almost $2 million.

Milch is now asking a hair under $7 million for the 22-acre oceanfront estate in hopes of getting the IRS off his back for a little bit. The writer and producer would net a profit from the sale since he purchased the property for $4 million in 1996.

The compound has a total of 11 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms split up between three different residences, with the 1880s-built main house making up the lion’s share with 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The other two buildings are a pool house converted into a four-bedroom spread and a 600-square-foot pond-side cottage. The estate also sports a pool, tennis court, and a 300-foot stretch of private beach.

Milch also recently sold his Brentwood home in Los Angeles, California, for $4 million in 2014.

Milch’s previous fortune was estimated at $100 million. According to a lawsuit filed by his wife Rita, he is currently living on a $40-per-week allowance to make sure he doesn’t gamble. He owes $17 million to the IRS, which he is on a payment plan for.
