Rolls-Royce has a new program for its Ghost and Wraith models—the Black Badge Series—which completely blacks out the two popular models.
The British company has “murdered out” the two models with all of the chrome work like the grill and exhaust pipes given a dark finish, and even the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament has been given the blackout treatment.
On top of the all-black parts and pieces, Rolls-Royce has also created a black paint job that it says is the “deepest, darkest, and most intense black ever seen on a production car.” The black finishes continue into the interior of the cars touching everything from the air vents to the headliner.
However, the Black Badge Series doesn’t just involve cosmetic changes. The Ghost’s 6.6-liter V12 has been tweaked to add 40 more horses, so it now produces 603 hp. The Black Badge Wraith has new driveshafts and transmission upgrades and a revamped air suspension, on top of 52 more pound-feet of torque.
