Electric dirt bikes have gained some traction in recent years, and Italian company Amortia has decided to enter into the market with a duo of new off-road warriors.

The Due X weighs in at 275 pounds and creates only 15 horsepower from its electric motor, but somehow it also makes over 145 pound-feet of torque. The Due X also has the advantage of sending its power to both wheels thanks to using two motors, one via a chain drive to the rear wheel and another on the front wheel. The second model is the Due R, a lighter supermoto version.

The Due models also have another unique feature: instead of a classic dash, the bikes are fitted with a built-in, waterproof RUG-GEAR RG600 Android smartphone that serves as the display, which means the attached phone also helps control everything from Bluetooth to data connectivity for GPS functions to engine telemetry systems.

The Amortia bikes are set to have a 5.1 kWh battery and a top speed near 50 mph with a range of 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Both the Due X and Due R are expected to be available soon with a price tag of $13,460.
