Move over Four Seasons, there’s a new go-to destination in the Big Apple’s most sought after neighborhood: the Mark Hotel and its largest penthouse en-suite in the United States.
Located in the Upper East Side, the 12,000-square-foot penthouse is not only the largest in the U.S., but is also the most expensive in the world at a rate of $100,000 a night (including taxes). This seems like a fair price considering the space is more like a residence than a hotel suite taking up the top two floors of the 1927-built landmark building.
The suite holds five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a large dining room with seating for up to 24 people, and a magnificent 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace with views of the city skyline and Central Park. Additionally, 24-hour room service from The Mark Restaurant and its head chef, three-Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, makes the unit just that much better.
Unfortunately, getting a night in The Mark Hotel’s penthouse might be nearly impossible since it’s quickly becoming the place to be for A-list stars and other elite members of high society.
