Kyon has introduced a new high-tech dog collar that actually looks like a normal collar, but hidden inside of it is a load of sensors and chips to keep owners updated with their pets’ health and even their location if they ever get lost.
The smart collar is managed through the Kyon mobile app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and features things like a water sensor, a heat sensor, GPS, GSM, an ultrasound buzzer, and an altimeter to help keep track of a pet’s needs better than ever before.
One of the coolest features of this Kyon collar is the location service it offers thanks to a Vodafone microchip that works in 120 countries with various cellular companies to help ping a pet’s location if they ever get lost. Another key addition are the heat sensors to help prevent pets from suffering heat stroke, as an unfortunate amount of furry loved ones do each year.
The Kyon collar is waterproof and can fit dogs and cats over seven pounds with neck sizes ranging from 10-20 inches, and it features a 30-day battery life before needing to be recharged.
Kyon is set to offer the smart collar for $249, with a $4.99 per month service fee.
