Reports are out, and it looks like luxury automaker Lamborghini had a great year. The Italian brand has unveiled that their sales continue to boom with 3,425 cars sold in 2015.

This record is the first for the high-end vehicle company, and it appears that increased sales have continued into 2016 as well with predictions of record-breaking numbers through the rest of the fiscal year.

Lamborghini’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann believes the upturn in sales is due to an increasing demand for supercars, and it doesn’t seem like he’s complaining.

Winkelmann and his brand are hoping to continue to broaden their customer base with the release of a new sports SUV in 2018. In the meantime, the focus will remain on Ferruccio, the company’s founder, who would have turned 100 this year.

The all-new Centenario was recently released in honor of Ferruccio, and only 20 examples will be sold. With a powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine pumping out a reported 760 bhp resulting in a 0-62 mph time of 2.5 seconds, it’s sure to become a prestigious collector’s item.
