French film producer-director Luc Besson is rumored to be the new owner of late Hollywood legend Charlton Heston’s Beverly Hills home. The incredible house nested on three acres above Coldwater Canyon sold for a little more than $12.2 million.

The contemporary home was built in the late 1950s and designed by iconic Modernist architect William S. Beckett. The “Ben-Hur” actor’s prior home spans 5,100 square feet and features a double-height library, glass-walled living and dining rooms, and a small office set over the steep hillside.

With four bedrooms in the main home and a master suite with dual bathrooms, walk-in closets, a private study, and a fireplace, it’s certainly fit for another celebrity owner.

The backyard wows too with an expansive entertainment terrace complete with a swimming pool, but additional features like a screening room and multilevel art studio with double-height ceilings might keep residents inside.
