When people think of writers, they don’t often associate them with sprawling mansions or luxury living. Yet, best-selling author Jackie Collins lived in a beautiful Beverly Hills mansion, which was just listed for $30 million.
The British writer passed away last year after a long battle with breast cancer, and her legacy will live on both in her work and her unique California home. Collins and her late second husband purchased the home in 1988 for $2 million and created their own “Miami Vice”-style mansion.
Set on a 0.91-acre plot, the massive home spans 21,784 square feet and holds eight bedrooms, ten full bathrooms, and five half baths. Unique features include a 100-foot gallery, a guest apartment, a full gym, a plush screening room, space for household offices, and, of course, plenty of built-in bookshelves.
A journey to the backyard reveals a swimming pool, spa, extensive courtyard, and a fully stocked wet bar perfect for entertaining friends and family.
In her lifetime, Collins wrote 32 books and sold more than 500 million copies, establishing her as a classic in contemporary literature.
