Liechtenstein-based research company nanoFlowcell has revealed the newest member of its “Quant” family with the street-legal electric compact car the Quantino.
The Quantino is a 2+2 sporty vehicle built for the electric market featuring two 175-liter tanks, meaning the car can hold a total of 350 liters of nanoFlowcell’s ionic liquid otherwise known as electrolyte fuel.
One tank has a positive charge and the other a negative charge, and both tanks must be filled at the same time.
With this nanoFlowcell fuel technology, a buffer system, and four electric motors that create 80kW (107 horsepower), the Quantino has a range of over 620 miles, a top speed of about 125 mph, and only needs 48 volts of power to run.
As the younger brother of nanoFlowcell’s Quant E and Quant F, the curvy Quantino will be produced in small batches and a field study will be conducted to test the feasibility of further production.
