The Ferrari California has never been the top performer of the iconic Italian brand’s line of track ready speedsters. In fact, the model has always been geared more toward owners who wanted to cruise in style with the top down.
But it doesn’t have to be this way any longer, as the Ferrari is now offering an upgraded performance package for the California T.
The package will include the new Handling Speciale package, adding a 16-percent stiffness increase in the front and 19-percent in the back of the vehicle. In addition, the magnetorhelogical dampers have upgraded software so they can more quickly adjust to changing road conditions.
Also, the dual-clutch transmission shifts faster than ever before when the California T is put into “Sport” mode. The Handling Speciale option even gets a new exhaust system which provides a louder engine sound, the kind you would expect a Ferrari to have.
The Handling Speciale-equipped California T will debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March.
