As far as outlandish chairs go, it can’t get much better than this. French design company Harow has created a 24-carat-gold version of its skull-shaped armchair.
Featuring a multifaceted back designed to resemble an oversized skull, the upper teeth form the base of the chair, which rests on two ornate front legs. Intricate details and the bold gold color add an extra element of luxury too.
Harow’s armchair is priced at $500,000 and made from reinforced fiberglass with a steel internal frame. Handmade in Paris, the seat itself is covered in black velvet to give the chair a more royal aesthetic.
Other high-end brands like Gufram and Fool’s have also recently unveiled skull-shaped furniture pieces.
