Former tennis star Monica Seles has sold her Sarasota, Florida, estate for $1.4 million after it bounced around the market for the past couple of years since its initial listing at $1.85 million in 2014.
Seles had the home custom built on 1.5 acres in 1991 when she was only 19 years old and on the top of the world of professional tennis. It features Classical and Mediterranean themes and comes with marble flooring, an indoor pool, an outdoor kitchen, a two-story lanai, and a full-size tennis court.
Seles won nine Grand Slam singles titles and had her career thrown into question when a fan stabbed her during a match in Germany in 1993. She made a comeback and continued her career until she retired in 2008. Seles won the Australian Open in 1996 after the tragic event.
