Switzerland-based Rinspeed has built aquatic cars with zero emissions and robot-driven electric vehicles, and now it has created the Etos, an autonomous car straight out of the future.
Rinspeed started off with a BMW i8 and kept its carbon-fiber aluminum body and already progressive plug-in hybrid engine.
Eight HD exterior cameras constantly track surrounding objects to make up the fully autonomous mode of the Etos. The Etos can also connect with city infrastructure, other cars, and even cell reception levels to completely monitor traffic conditions.
The amazing car also features two 21.5-inch Ultra HD monitors to control the Harman Connected Car infotainment system, which acts like a personal assistant and learns the habits and likes of the Etos’ owner.
Oh yeah, Rinspeed’s newest vehicle also comes equipped with its own personal drone to run errands or just take airborne selfies.
The Etos will be on display at CES 2016 on January 5th.
