Known for its intricate style and artful work, Montegrappa has wowed customers again with its newest creation. The Montegrappa Erebouni writing instrument series captures the elegance of Armenian culture as a tribute to the nation’s rich history.
The new collection focuses on the beauty of the country’s heritage with a set of three writing instruments.
Made in collaboration with a group of Armenian artists, church members, and business people, the pieces are heavily inspired by the country’s rich symbolism. All three versions—the Hokevor, Haverj, and standard-edition Kragan—feature intricate metalwork and design.
Both the Hokevor and Haverj pens sport metalwork with 17th-century Zevartnots church on the cap, while additional details like pomegranates, a teardrop-shaped blue cubic zirconia, and the eternal flame honor the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The intricate and symbolic new pens range from $790 for one of the Kragan pens to upwards of $50,000 for a piece from the Hokevor series. Customers will be able to choose between precious metals like gold, silver, and vermeil, but some of the new pens have a small limited run, so interested buyers should inquire soon.
