A prestigious beachfront rental home in Southampton is setting a new record for one of the world’s most popular vacation destinations by asking $2.5 million for the season.

The home on upscale Meadow Lane is available from Memorial Day to Labor Day and the owners are asking for $833,000 a month, which the listing agent believes to be the highest price of summer rental in Hamptons history.

The 18,000-square-foot, eight-bedroom house is set on eight acres in between Shinnecock Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It does has a private dock, but some of the other amenities might make renters forget about visiting the surrounding beauty.

The home comes complete with a game room featuring billiards and a ping-pong table, a gym, tennis court, basketball court, and swimming pool.

The estate is being rented out because its owner won’t be around this upcoming summer, and it’s just been fully renovated.
