Virgin Group founder Richard Branson has come up with a new feature to add to his many Virgin Hotels around the world. It’s a new take on the bed, and it involves cubbies.
The new “Lounge Bed” has been offered in Virgin’s Chicago hotel since last January, and after a successful debut, the company plans to add the new bed to other hotels. Expect to see it in its new hotels coming in Nashville, New York, and Dallas.
The “Lounge Bed” features a padded headboard that was ergonomically designed with a 120-degree pitch. This allows guests to recline and work easily with a laptop or tablet propped up on their knees. There are also three cubbyholes that allow up to three people to lounge on the bed and use their devices. The bed also features multiple electrical sockets for charging at any angle.
The best part of Virgin Hotel’s new “Lounge Bed” is that it is now available to consumers. Prices range between $4,825 and $5,425.
