Bang & Olufsen is countering the recent release of its $40,000, 90th Anniversary BeoLab 90 wireless speakers—powered by an impressive 18 drivers to produce 8,200 watts—with something a little more personal.
The Danish company has released its new BeoPlay H7 over-ear headphones featuring gesture-based touch control just in time for the holidays.
B&O’s newest headphones will provide its wearers the option of listening via Bluetooth or a supplied cable. The BeoPlay H7s will offer its owners supreme sound thanks to 40mm electro-dynamic drivers that will deliver incredibly pure sound with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz.
The H7s have about a 20-hour wireless listening time with around a two-and-a-half-hour charge (via a USB cable). With playback being controlled by a touch interface on the right ear cup, even gloved users can control songs and volume, and take calls with simple swipes.
The BeoPlay H7 headphones are on sale now from B&0’s website for $449.
