The Grateful Dead recently took in about $55 million thanks to a five-show reunion tour, and some of that ticket money probably helped out when bassist Phil Lesh dropped $4.35 million for his new Ross, California, estate.

Lesh purchased the 16-acre property dubbed Stag’s Lair in late October despite his current battle with bladder cancer. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Although the new parcel needs a bit of work, according to the listing agent, it comes with some of the most spectacular views in Marin County.

Lesh’s new estate in Ross, which only has a little over 2,000 residents, is in an area that currently holds five multi-million-dollar properties.
