McLaren has released its 675LT Spider with a $372,600 price tag, and only 500 examples of the car will be made. The iconic British brand’s newest car lives up to the hype as the fastest convertible McLaren has ever made.
McLaren packs 666 horses into a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 516 pound-feet of torque and can hit a top speed of 203 mph, while zooming from zero to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
McLaren has combined this behemoth of an engine with an ultra-light, carbon-fiber chassis and body that weighs in at just 2,800 pounds. The 675LT is only 88 pounds heavier than its coupe counterpart, which was previously announced in March, thanks to a three-piece, retractable hardtop roof.
The lightweight enthusiasm continues with 10-spoke alloy wheels paired with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires specially made for the 675LTs, which is the lightest wheel and tire combination McLaren has created to date.
The interior features a unique look with Alcantara and Xenon Yellow stitching and carbon-fiber finishing. The cabin comfort and Meridian sound system are controlled via a touchscreen display befit of the price tag.
The company sold out of the 675LT coupe before its first deliveries and expects the same response for its convertible edition.
