The latest installment of the Daniel Craig era of James Bond films, Spectre, is expected to be the second-highest grossing edition of the 007 saga.

Spectre wasn’t able to surpass Skyfall as the top-grossing Bond film, and is predicted to fall about $200 million short of the $1.1 billion Skyfall brought in. But that isn’t too shabby considering Skyfall came out around the same time as the 2012 London Olympics and was boosted by the event.

Spectre had an increased viewership in China, where it beat the former film $83 million to $59 million. However, it fell short in the U.S., bringing in $177 million compared to the Skyfall’s $247 million.

While the franchise could see some changes after Craig compared the idea of making another Bond film to slitting his wrists, the fact that Spectre performed so comparably to the highest-earning Bond film of all time bodes well for the future.
