Italian motorcycle giant Ducati has fashioned its 2016 XDiavel to become the brand’s first true cruiser.
Based off of Ducati’s Diavel, their sport cruiser, the XDiavel takes a lot of its style inspiration from its predecessor, with a few differences. The engine gains some power with an additional 64cc for a total of 1262cc. Thanks to the re-worked engine, the XDiavel hits its peak torque at 5,000 rpm—3,000 rpm better than the Diavel—to produce 95 lb-ft of torque.
The XDiavel strives to be a true cruiser with the addition of a belt drive instead of a chain and uses five different seats, three different handlebars, and four different footrest positions to create over 60 riding positions for optimal comfort for its riders.
Ducati also has an S version of the XDiavel on the docket. It comes in glossy black instead of matte, and features bigger brake calipers and machine-finished highlights on some of the metal sections to designate the difference.
