DJI may be known as a drone company, but the brand is branching out with the unveiling of its new camera.
The DJI Osmo is a handheld camera capable of shooting 12MP photos and 4K video. Stabilized with a 3-axis brushless gimbal, it’s also able to capture professional-quality timelapse and hyperlapse photography.
Osmo’s easy-to-use stabilizer comes standard with the Inspire 1’s X3 camera, which is complete with a 20mm lens, DNG support, and a 1/2.3-inch Sony Exmor R sensor with an ISO range of 100-1600 (100-3200 for video).
High-quality tech pairs with the unique gimbal for incredible features like Automatic Panorama mode, which allows users to raise Osmo above their heads, select the shutter speed, and then set the camera to spin in a circle for the perfect panoramic shot.
Available soon, the Osmo will start at $649.
