Vizio, long known for blending the lines of quality and affordability in the television market, has entered into the realm of elite models with its Reference Series.
The top-of-the-line 4K UHD Reference Series is Vizio’s answer to TV giants like Samsung and Sony and is priced from around $6,000 (65 inch) to $130,000 (120 inch).
While Vizio might be joining the “big boys” of the industry with this new line, what will make it stand out in the market is the new backlight system.
Each Reference Series model has a full-aray local dimming (FALD) LED backlight system featuring 384 individual zones for concise control of brightness and darkness across the screen.
Other features include Wi-Fi access, built-in HDMI ports, and support for 4K Ultra HD content from Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, UltraFlix, and Toon Goggles.
The 65-inch model also comes with a 10-inch subwoofer and satellite speakers for a true 5.1 surround-sound setup.
Vizio is now accepting pre-orders for its all-new Reference Series.
