Although Seattle has been gaining popularity for quite some time, the real estate market is still on the rise.

A waterfront Laurelhurst mansion has just been listed for $13.25 million, making it the most expensive home in Seattle’s history. The title had previously been held by a Queen Anne mansion listed for $11.5 million.

Spanning more than 11,800 square feet, the luxurious home sports 7 bedrooms and 6.25 baths. With more than 145 feet of Lake Washington waterfront, residents enjoy unparalleled views of the water and surrounding lush greenery.

A simple, natural aesthetic inside takes cues from nature. Light wood accents meet Fleetwood doors to provide a modern, clean look that makes the surrounding views the central focus.

The beautiful estate is currently owned by Microsoft Accelerator managing director Dave Malcolm and his wife Shelley. The couple paid just $3.5 million for the property in 2004.
