Late “Simpsons” co-creator Sam Simon’s Pacific Palisades, Calif., estate is now on the market for $18 million. The expansive property features an architectural gem designed by Richard Neutra.

At nearly 1.5-acres, the unique plot is home to Neutra’s 1948 design and a contemporary 7,100-square-foot house. Neutra’s architectural creation was designed as part of “Arts & Architecture Magazine’s” postwar Case Study House Program.

Simon originally owned the contemporary property, but later acquired the Neutra house for $3.95 million in 2004 when it became available.

The contemporary home is both modern and eco-friendly since it was built in 2007 after a fire damaged the original property. Although the two buildings are quite different, their aesthetics complement each other among the palm trees and lush greenery.

Proceeds from the sale of this estate will go to charity.
