Actor Tobey Maguire and his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, have purchased a new home in a charming, tree-lined Santa Monica neighborhood.
The couple paid $2.7 million for the Spanish-inspired property, which features two structures on the property for a total of more than 3,500 square feet.
The main home was built in the 1920s and sports a renovated, minimalist feel with three bedrooms and two baths. Incredible 22-foot ceilings in the living areas paired with a bamboo-shielded courtyard, provide an airy, natural feel.
With a loggia running the width of the house, the new owners will enjoy walking through French doors to the great outdoors. A pair of upper-level bedrooms also feature barrel-vaulted ceilings and access to a vine-covered sleeping porch with views of the backyard.
Maguire and Meyer also have access to a two-story, industrial-style building that would be perfect for a home studio or even a guesthouse.
