After making its grand debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show, BMW’s new track-only M6 GT3 will be available for purchase.
The German vehicle company first established its reputation as a racing car brand back in 1975 with the BMW 3.0 CSL. Now the new model will replace the current Z4 GT3 as the company’s trademark machine for the 2016 racing season.
Although it sports a production-based body shell and engine, the M6 has been specially modified for the racetrack with added power and customizations like the unique rear spoiler.
With a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, the new GT3 will be seen representing BMW on tracks around the world.
Fans will be able to get their hands on this one though, since BMW Motorsport is selling the ultra-fast cars starting at $336,270.
