Samsung-owned Silicon Valley company SmartThings has just released a new line of in-home sensors. Made to connect to its Internet of Things connector hub, the new SleepSense tracker is able to pair with other smart appliances throughout the house, meaning it can turn off your TV as you’re falling asleep. That’s right—no more mid-REM cycle searches for the remote control.

In addition to connecting to TVs or smart air-conditioning units, the new device also tracks users’ sleep patterns and makes recommendations for a better night’s sleep. The SleepSense is placed under the mattress where it is also able to read respiratory and heart rates, as well as movement.

Users get a sleep score that they can access through the companion app to better understand their sleep patterns. Another feature is the gentle alarm, which slowly wakes users at optimal sleep times.

Pricing has not yet been announced.

SmartThings was acquired by Samsung in August 2014 for $200 million and continues to operate as an independent company.
