Leica paired with Italian coachbuilder Zagato to create the limited-edition Leica Ultravid 8×32 Edition Zagato binoculars.
Zagato’s chief industrial designer Stephane Schwarz led the team to design the sleek binoculars inspired by the shape of vintage airplanes. The unique look is a nod to the company’s beginning, since founder Ugo Zagato used aeronautic principles to create his luxurious vehicles.
The ultra-chic binoculars are crafted from a single block of metal and sport two anodized red rings around the glass lenses as well as hundreds of fine grooves across the body.
Fitted with 8 x 32 coated lenses, the Leica Ultravid binoculars are limited to a collection of 1,000 and sell for $3,500 each.
