It’s been a slow and sometimes painful recovery for the real estate market in the past few years. Although most sellers understand finding the right buyer can take some time, we doubt Burt Reynolds expected to wait nine years to sell his Florida mansion.
Reynolds’ two-story Hobe Sound, Fla., home was on the market for nine years before recently selling for $3.3 million. With a waterfront dock, swimming pool, helicopter landing space, screened-in outdoor cabana, and movie screening room, it’s a mystery why it took so long to sell.
The seven-bedroom, five-bath home spans 12,500 square feet and is accompanied by a two-bedroom guesthouse.
In a strange turn of events, it’s reported that Reynolds plans to remain on the property as a renter, although the star has repeatedly denied struggling with financial hardship.
