There’s something undeniably futuristic and James-Bond-esque about head-up displays (HUDs). Whether it’s the appearance of projection or the slim glass display, we may never know.
What we do know is that Maryland-based startup Exploride has just launched what it calls the world’s first all-in-one HUD. Controlled with easy-to-use gesture and voice commands, their new display makes driving a much better experience.
Users can easily access Google Maps navigation, control music, hear texts, monitor vehicle diagnostics, and take or decline calls all in one convenient display. Vehicle diagnostic monitoring includes fuel level, speed, and tire pressure, all from a single source.
With a built-in 3 MP dash cam, cloud storage, and a long list of available apps, drivers can easily customize their experience with the 6-inch transparent screen.
One thing is sure—rush hour would be so much more enjoyable with four basic hand gesture controls. You can support Exploride’s new device by joining their Indiegogo campaign, which has already raised $400,000, surpassing its goal by 300 percent.
