Tom Dixon has added a new piece to his well-known furniture line. The new Wingback sofa is a two-seater inspired by a 17th-century gentleman’s club, but with a modern twist.

Dixon’s Wingback collection already includes an ottoman, armchair, and dining chair, but this new piece stands out with a bolder shape and a polyurethane foam shell.

Added lumbar supports pair with more robust cantilevering to create the vintage-but-modern piece of art. Upholstered in Kvadrat fabrics and outfitted with four legs in oak or copper-plated steel, the Wingback sofa is ultra-elegant and completely unique.

First appearing at the 2015 London Design Festival, the new couch sports a sculptural structure and an extravagant blend of old and new.
