The 53W53 skyscraper isn’t even finished yet but it’s considered one of the newest architectural beauties in Manhattan. Located at 53 W. 53rd Street, the new tower sits right across from the Museum of Modern Art.
The 1,050-foot building was designed by Pritzker Prize laureate Jean Nouvel and spans 82 stories and 750,000 square feet. It’s been in development for nearly 10 years, but all that time cumulates to a unique silhouette with a metal and glass façade tapering into a spire.
Although lower floors will act as new exhibition space for MoMA, the building will feature 139 high-end condos. Floor plans for three units were recently released and prices range from $3 million to over $50 million.
The building’s top two floors will feature a duplex penthouse priced at over $70 million.
Luxury amenities include full-time concierge service and a high-performance fitness facility with a 65-foot lap pool.
