Though the brand is new to the portable mobile projector market, Sony has just introduced their MP-CL1, a handheld projector using a laser light source to project HD resolution images (1920 x 720).

High contrast (80,000:1) images with accurate color rendition make movies and TV shows look better than ever. The new projector is also ultra-portable and capable of displaying screen sizes up to 120 inches.

Sony uses Laser Beam Scanning (LBS) technology to provide focus-free projection in HD resolution so users don’t have to worry about interrupted focus or video quality.

With a built-in speaker, HDMI ports, and smartphone interface capabilities via MHL, users can easily connect to the MP-CL1. Built-in WIFI screen mirroring also offers easy transferring of wireless content from a PC, tablet, or smartphone.

Sony’s MP-CL1 comes with a detachable two-way stand and a 3400mAh battery that can play up to 120 minutes of HD playback.
