Legendary camera brand Leica has announced the release of their newest professional SLR. The Leica S Type 007 offers plenty of new features and enhanced performance.
A new MAX CMOS (30 by 45 mm) image sensor and Maestro II processor provide increased image quality and higher speed (3.5 fps). The addition of 4k video recording and a predictive autofocus system makes for clear, high-definition videos.
Leica also designed the 007 with a more compact body for easier travel and handling. Between a diecast magnesium chassis and 3-inch, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass display, it’s built to withstand dust, moisture, and rough handling.
Other features include GPS for geotagging photos, iOS remote connectivity, and a Lemo active USB 3.0 cable to easily connect the 007 to a PC.
The Leica S Type 007 is priced under $17,000 at specialized camera stores.
