The David Brown Speedback GT made a long journey across the pond to appear at the Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, in Carmel, Calif, this August.
David Brown’s 1960s-inspired tourer features 142 handcrafted body panels, a pillarless monocoque structure, and a special finish requiring 120 hours of supervision.
The Speedback is powered by a supercharged, 5-liter V8 engine capable of reaching top speeds of 155 mph. Controlled by a 6-speed automatic transmission and capable of speeding from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, this British ride is sleek and fast.
Inside, drum-dyed, full-grain leather and single-batch, hand-sanded wood veneer paneling provides a classic and luxurious look.
The unique Speedback GT stunned in the invitation-only, three-day procession around the Monterey Peninsula. Although Brown’s Speedback may have launched in the UK last year, it will be available for the first time in the US starting at around $773,000.
