With all the new developments in fitness-related smart technology, it’s not surprising that Ralph Lauren has blended tech with fashion. The clothing brand has just introduced the PoloTech Shirt, a smart workout shirt that monitors your activity in real time.

Ralph Lauren paired with Montreal tech startup OmSignal to develop PoloTech apparel, a line of sportswear capable of tracking wearer’s mid-workout vitals. Woven silver fibers help to read heart rate, steps taken, calories burned, activity level, and breathing depth.

Information is transferred from the attached sensor-filled black box that sends stats straight to the user’s iPhone app.

Although the first shirt available is designed for men, a women’s shirt is currently in development. The PoloTech workout shirt will retail for $295.
