Mississippi’s most expensive home is now available. At $12.5 million, the Magnolia State house is nearly double the price of the state’s second most expensive listing.

The 25,000-square-foot Pass Christian house is right off the Gulf of Mexico and features unparalleled views of the water. With 15 bedrooms and 19 baths, there’s plenty of room for friends, family, and guests.

The home was originally built in 1963 as an 11,000-square-foot winter home for financier J. Edgar Monroe. After Charles Ramsey purchased the property in 1993, he added two large wings, nearly tripling the home’s size to 30,000 square feet.

Set on almost 8 acres, the estate features two separate houses in addition to the expansive main house. Its proximity to the gulf also provides opportunities for fishing and sailing.

Although realtors believes it might sell as a corporate retreat location, it’d make a beautiful family vacation home.
