Mechanical watches with visible gears have been gaining popularity for the past few years, and now Jaeger-LeCoultre has developed the thinnest one. At just 3.60mm thick, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra Thin Squelette has beat out the Piaget Altiplano 900P’s record of 3.65mm.
The thinner construction has led to an even sleeker look, which features a skeletonized face and 19 jewels. Squelette has a 33-hour power reserve and uses a hand-wound movement to help run the watch’s 119 components.
Available with a rose-gold or 18-carat white case, black or brown alligator leather straps, and gold pin buckles, the new watch is a work of art. Even more impressive than the new record though is the quality of craftsmanship put into the Jaeger-LeCoultre Squelette.
