Accessory and writing instrument company Montblanc has debuted its first designer collaboration. Typically the German brand keeps to itself for creative development, but now it has teamed up with Marc Newson to create a new line of luxury writing instruments.

The Montblanc M collection features classic, elegant styling blended with practical function and performance. The pen is available in various versions, but each one comes with a unique magnet that keeps the body and hood in perfect alignment.

A traditional black resin body offers slick lines throughout to the cap before meeting a platinum-plated clip. A two-tone rhodium and ruthenium gold nib AU585 and a “MN” inscription for the designer complete the look.

With a comfortable, natural grip and the classic Montblanc look, the collection fits right in with the brand’s previous work. The Montblanc M by Marc Newson writing utensil is available as a rollerball pen, ballpoint pen, fountain pen, screenwriter, and as a fine art and fineliner.

The collection will be available this September.
