Many of us may think of late ‘90s cell phones when we think of Nokia, but the company has expanded its horizons to the virtual reality market. Nokia has created OZO, the first virtual reality camera available to the public.
OZO has eight synchronized global shutter sensors and eight integrated microphones for spatial audio. The spherical camera looks like something straight out of your favorite science-fiction movie.
The new device is able to capture real-time 3D viewing without needing to reassemble a panoramic image. OZO could very well revolutionize virtual reality capture. One thing’s for sure—it looks really cool.
Nokia hasn’t announced the price or release date yet.
