There aren’t a lot of ways to reuse airplane machinery, especially out-of-commission engine parts. British architecture company OS31 has found an interesting way to put those parts to work. They’ve created a new table using a compressor fan from a Pegasus jet engine.
The table highlights the fan’s construction and powerful potential. None of the polished titanium blades have been repaired, so small chips and dents from flight are still visible, adding history and personality to the one-of-a-kind table.
Designers used 3D technology to construct custom aluminum profiles, which both help to form the table’s structure and keep the machinery’s integrity intact.
OS31’s Pegasus table will certainly be the centerpiece of any room.
